Dit is een krachtige top whisky uit Japan. Deze flessen heb ik al sinds 2018. Deze flessen zijn altijd bewaard op een constante temperatuur en uiteraard in volledige duisternis. De flessen zijn ongeopend en verzegeld. 

Smaakprofiel (ENG)

On the nose, it presents fragrant aromas of vanilla, oak, spice, fruitcake, orange zest, and floral notes. The palate is rich and complex, featuring flavors of caramel, chocolate, toffee, roasted almonds, candied citrus peels, clove, and some green herbal undertones. There is also a hint of maritime influence, characteristic of many coastal Scottish distilleries.

The medium to long finish is warm and lingering, with sweet and spicy elements intermingling while subtle smoky nuances linger in the background. Overall, Nikka From the Barrel is a robust and flavorful whisky that appeals to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike. Despite being bottled at a relatively modest strength of 51.4%, its intensity and complexity ensure it stands tall against competitors bottled at higher ABVs.
