Toasted bread, coffee, and exotic spices, such as cardamom or coriander, add further intrigue and depth. Allowing it to breathe unveils a faint red berry fruitiness, possibly recalling strawberries or cherries. The aroma is complex yet harmonious, promising a bold and elegant spirit.

Palate: On tasting, the brandy delivers a full-bodied, concentrated experience bursting with flavors. Upfront are pronounced notes of candied fruits, dried apricot or dates, and espresso-like bitterness. As the liquid develops, nuances of blackcurrant jam, hibiscus, and bitter cocoa emerge. Intense oak influences surface, bringing vanillin, hazelnut, and roasted marshmallow impressions into play. Although some alcohol heat remains noticeable at this age, the brandy never feels harsh or abrasive. Finish: Despite its significant strength, the finish isn't overwhelming, ending in a gradual decline rather than a rapid exit. Sensations of mocha, charred wood, and lingering dark chocolate persist, contributing length and substance. A slight medicinal edge might emerge before dissipating, but it doesn't detract significantly from the enjoyment. Given its potency, a glass of water alongside can help tame its intensity during extended sessions.

Best appreciated neat, with maybe just a small drop of still water to open up the bouquet or accompanied by a good cigar if desired.
