Rare Naval dress dagger. Batavia/Indonesia era 1949. Cordesius & Zonen (metalworks) manufacturer – no longer in operation. This company also had numerous Dutch military contracts, especially making military badges.

The dagger has a clean double sided edge and is in good condition. The solid brass profiled handle is similar to Netherlands naval dagger. The pommel and handle are decorated with what appear to be cannon balls. The crossguard is decorated with a ship's anchor. The ornamentally decorated scabbard with anchor is of gilded metal with chain, below the crossguard is the manufacturer’s stamp and national emblem. The dagger clips into the scabbard.
